About the Journal
Journal of Technology and Research in Pedagogy (JTRP)
The Journal of Technology and Research in Pedagogy is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing the integration of technology in educational practices through rigorous research and innovative pedagogical approaches.
Aims
JTRP aims to serve as a leading platform for scholars, educators, researchers, and practitioners to disseminate high-quality research on the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of technology-enhanced learning. The journal seeks to bridge the gap between theory and practice in educational technology by promoting evidence-based innovations that improve teaching, learning, and assessment across various educational levels and contexts.
Scope
The journal welcomes original research articles, systematic reviews, conceptual papers, and empirical studies that address the intersection of technology, research, and pedagogy. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Design and development of educational technologies (e-learning systems, learning management systems, mobile learning, gamification, virtual/augmented reality in education)
- Pedagogical innovations and models supported by technology
- Technology integration in formal, non-formal, and informal learning environments
- Research on the effectiveness, impact, and evaluation of digital tools in teaching and learning
- Teacher professional development and technological pedagogical content knowledge (TPACK)
- Artificial intelligence, adaptive learning systems, learning analytics, and data-driven pedagogy
- Digital equity, accessibility, and inclusive education through technology
- Emerging trends in educational technology, such as immersive learning, blockchain in education, and open educational resources (OER)
- Policy, leadership, and ethical issues related to technology in education
- Comparative studies and cross-cultural perspectives on technology-enhanced pedagogy
JTRP prioritizes manuscripts that demonstrate strong theoretical foundations, robust research methodologies (quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods), and clear implications for educational practice. The journal is particularly interested in studies that explore the “rekayasa” (engineering/design) aspects of learning systems — how technologies are intentionally designed, engineered, and refined to optimize pedagogical outcomes.
We encourage submissions from researchers and practitioners worldwide, fostering interdisciplinary dialogue among education, technology, psychology, computer science, and other related fields.
